Peshawar Zalmi won the Pakistan Super League (PSL 2026) championship. Babar Azam led Peshawar Zalmi to a 5-wicket victory over Hyderabad Kingsmen in the final match, which took place on May 3 at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. Peshawar Zalmi, led by Babar Azam, won the PSL title for the second time, while Hyderabad Kingsmen, in their first PSL season, came in second. The Pakistan Cricket Board modified the league’s compensation schedule following the championship game.
In fact, clubs will get separate prize money in addition to player rewards for the first time in PSL history. Babar Azam’s Peshawar Zalmi, the winning squad, will collect $500,000 (about Rs 4.74 crore), while the runners-up will get $300,000 (around Rs 2.84 crore). The team with the strongest player development program will also receive $200,000.
