5 Players from Hundred 2026 who might get big bids in IPL 2027

5 Players from Hundred 2026 who might get big bids in IPL 2027

After a fierce victory over the Trent Rockets at Lord’s on Sunday, August 16, the Manchester Super Giants won their first-ever championship, capping the Hundred 2026. Throughout the season, players made a statement and impressed scouts at the national and franchise levels with several outstanding individual bat and ball performances.

With the IPL 2027 auction just a few months away and teams constantly searching for fresh talent, the Indian Premier League (IPL) undoubtedly has eyes everywhere. Let’s take a look at the top 5 talents from The 100 that could draw scouts.

Here are the 5 players from Hundred 2026 who might get big bids in IPL 2027:

5. Gus Atkinson

Gus Atkinson had been picked in the IPL auction previously in 2024 when the Kolkata Knight Riders bought him. However, he pulled out due to an injury, and in the recent IPL 2026 auction, he went unsold. Atkinson had a decent Hundred 2026 tournament, with 12 wickets in 10 games and an impressive economy of 8.40.

Atkinson is a very good pick for any IPL franchise that is looking for a pacer with good speed and the ability to switch it up as well. He has 84 wickets in 68 T20s and can bat a bit as well down the order. He has a very good reputation with the ball in the death as well.

4. Aneurin Donald

Aneurin Donald might have scored only 137 runs in 5 games in the Hundred 2025 but ended up with the highest strike rate of 217.46. He is a destructive batter at the top and hits a boundary every 3.8 deliveries during the season for the Trent Rockets. He also had an impressive run in the Vitality T20 Blast, with 489 runs in 12 games with a strike rate of 230.66.

Donald will be an attractive proposition for many franchises who want someone who can maximize the powerplay overs and the first ten overs. Modern-era T20 cricket is about the maximums, and Donald has the best wares to give the franchise picking him in the IPL auction. His career T20 strike rate is 170.99 in 111 games and has hit 131 sixes as well.

3. Sonny Baker

Sonny Baker is the new generation lot that was called up by England in the recent T20I series against India. Baker picked 13 wickets in the Hundred 2026, finishing as the third-highest wicket-taker in the tournament.

The 23-year-old possesses all the necessary components to be a reliable pacer, including a fast pace, the capacity to hit the deck hard, cunning variations, and a deadly yorker, even though he may seem a little raw in terms of his potential.

2. Josh Tongue

Josh Tongue finished at the top of the wicket-taking chart in the Hundred 2026 with 14 scalps in 10 games. He picked those wickets at an economy of 7.93, showing that he was very good with the new ball and in death overs as well. He has been excellent in Tests for England with 57 wickets in just 12 games.

In white-ball cricket, Tongue is becoming a more well-known name. He has 50 wickets in 35 T20 games with an economy of 8.85. Tongue, with his unorthodox action and hunt for wickets, can become an attractive overseas pacer option for IPL franchises.

1. Harry Brook

England white-ball captain Harry Brook made 255 runs in 9 games in The Hundred 2026 with a strike rate of 180.85, with the best score of 55. He has played one season of IPL, scoring a century for Sunrisers Hyderabad, the sister franchise of Sunrisers Leeds.

However, he was banned for two years for pulling out of the two successive IPL seasons after being picked in the auction. Though he had said that he wants to prioritise England before the IPL, his tone has changed recently.

Brook will be an excellent option as a top-order batter for any IPL franchise, and he can even captain a couple of teams that are looking for skippers. Brook, if he enters the IPL 2027 auction, will definitely get a buyer, given his reputation.
