The Asian Games 2026 will be hosted by Japan in the Aichi-Nagoya Prefecture. The India men’s team will begin their Asian Games on September 28. Ten teams will compete in the men’s competition; India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka will advance directly to the quarterfinals. Pakistan will play in the first quarterfinal, and India has been assigned to the second.
The semi-finals of the Asian Games men’s cricket event will be played on October 1, while the bronze medal, silver medal, and gold medal matches will be played on October 3. Today, we will see 3 Indian players who are out of form ahead of the Asian Games 2026.
Here are the 3 Indian players who are out of form ahead of the Asian Games 2026 event:
3. Ravi Bishnoi
Ravi Bishnoi is a former no. 1 ranked T20I bowler but has been out of form for some time. Though he made a return to the Indian team in the 13 T20Is he has played in 2025 and 2026, he has managed only 12 wickets at an economy of almost 8. He has only 4 wickets in his last 4 T20Is, and it remains to be seen if his form continues to fluctuate in the Asian Games.
2. Harshit Rana
Harshit Rana has not played any game since injuring his hamstring on the England tour. He had made his return after almost six months out due to an injured knee. Rana looked unfit, out of bowling practice, and overweight and has since worked slowly on his fitness and is likely to play straight in the Asian Games. But given that Harshit will be coming into the event without any practice, consider them out of form.
1. Washington Sundar
Washington Sundar has not played a T20I since the England series. He was not picked for the Zimbabwe T20I tour and the Sri Lanka Test tour after suffering a hamstring injury. Sundar spent time recovering and rehabbing at the CoE and was not picked in India XI for the first two T20Is against Afghanistan. It remains to be seen whether Sundar gets game time in the last T20I or straight in the Asian Games 2026.
