In an intense first-inning encounter between Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) and St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots (SNP), Chris Jordan produced a superb catch to dismiss Kyle Mayers during the 25th game of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL 2024). Jordan's astounding athletic showing came in the 11th over when he astonished players and fans alike with a caught-and-bowled wicket.
Mayers, looking threatening with the bat, tried to flick a good-length delivery off Jordan, but he mistimed the stroke because the ball stopped on him somewhat. Jordan was hit by the ball as it soared to his left, but he quickly responded and dove across to complete an incredible two-handed catch. The 35-year-old all-rounder ended Mayers' explosive 60 off just 30 balls, which featured eight boundaries and three sixes, with his quick reactions and agility.

This flash of genius was essential in decelerating SNP's advance. Playing for the Trinbago Knight Riders, Jordan was instrumental with the ball as he took two crucial wickets during the game, including the dangerous Andre Fletcher. The video of his jaw-dropping catch was quick to go viral.
The St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots, batting first, amassed a massive 193/4 in their 20 overs. With a dominant innings of 93 runs off 61 balls that included four boundaries and six massive sixes, captain Fletcher led from the front. His knock played a key role in establishing a difficult 194 target for the Trinbago Knight Riders to pursue.
To win the match by seven wickets, Trinbago Knight Riders easily met the difficult total in reply, reaching 197/3 in just 18.3 overs. Jason Roy, the English opener, was in incredible form as he smashed 64 off 34 balls to give TKR an early lead.
But Nicholas Pooran, who scored an incredible 93 off just 43 deliveries, was the star of the chase. Pooran hit at an astounding rate of 216.28, including six boundaries and seven mammoth sixes in his attack. His commanding display of power hitting made sure that TKR won easily and that the match was concluded with nine balls remaining. Player of the Match for his game-winning strike, Pooran added another outstanding performance to his CPL résumé.
