Ambati Rayudu, a former Indian batsman and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) player, has shared his opinions on Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) winning the 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) championship. Under Rajat Patidar's leadership, RCB won their first championship in the tournament, which concluded in early June. Rayudu continued to take a dig at the Bengaluru team for their protracted wait for their maiden championship.

The Bengaluru-based squad must realise how difficult it is to win five titles, Rayudu said, adding that his remarks were made in a light-hearted, joking manner rather than as a grave criticism. He spoke about the RCB win during a YouTube podcast with Shubhankar Mishra. Speaking about Royal Challengers Bengaluru's first IPL triumph, Rayudu stated that only MI and Chennai Super Kings (CSK) had won five titles, showing how difficult a task that is.

He went on to say, “It felt really good. Now RCB knows how difficult it is to win the IPL. And how much harder it is to win it five times. Now they will realize. See, if winning once is so tough, then imagine how tough it is to win five times. So it is good that they understood what it takes to win. It’s good, right? Now they will also calm down. RCB will calm down. They have entered the winners’ club, so they will calm down.”

Bangalore's IPL 2025 victory pleased Ambati Rayudu, who also stated that the squad is moving in the right manner. He wished the team led by Rajat Patidar more success. Although this does not align with what he had said earlier.

Earlier this year, he was the one who expressed his wish that RCB would not win the trophy this year and implied that he preferred CSK to win, since many had conjectured that MS Dhoni might make his final appearance on the pitch in 2025. Yet again, he seemed to have changed his stance on the incident.
