A woman from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, has accused Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) pacer Yash Dayal of using her under the guise of marriage. According to ANI, a grievance has been filed using the online grievance portal, IGRS. In her lawsuit, the woman claims that she was physically, emotionally, and psychologically abused over the five years she was in a relationship with the cricket player.
An FIR has been filed against Dayal, and an official complaint submitted on the state's grievance redressal portal has brought the issue to the attention of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. She further stated that she called the women's helpline on June 14, but that the issue did not move forward at the level of the police station. She sought justice at the Chief Minister's office due to her lack of social and financial support.
Along with allegations of ongoing assault, the woman, who says she has been dating the cricket player for five years, shared her trauma on social media by sharing a picture of herself with Dayal and a copy of the FIR.
She also claimed in a new allegation published by Dainik Bhaskar on Monday that Yash had several affairs while they were dating. According to the newspaper, "Ghaziabad police recorded her statement and have sent a notice to Dayal." According to the story, which also included a timeline of their connection, they first communicated on social media before meeting in Prayagraj. Although Dayal's father allegedly denied knowing her, the woman, a former employee of an ed-tech company, claimed she stayed at Yash's house and was "close to his family."
The accusation claims that Dayal further persuaded the complainant that a marriage was likely by promising to wed the woman and introducing her to his family as their future "daughter-in-law." The woman reportedly asserts that she has all the proof necessary to back up her claims. Additionally, according to the complaint, Yash Dayal had similar occurrences with several women, which the complainant only learned about later.
According to Ghaziabad Police, Yash Dayal has received a notice and is now being requested to record his statement.
