Anushka Sharma minces no words in tribute To Virat Kohli

Indian cricket fans were shocked and disappointed when Virat Kohli declared on May 12 that he would be retiring from Test cricket with immediate effect. Numerous admirers and well-known individuals wrote a letter for the cricketer on social media. Actress Anushka Sharma responded very well to the stand-up comedian-writer's touching letter to the famous batter.

Varun Grover posted a lengthy message on his Instagram account, saying, “Test cricket is special because it is a narrative sport. So many variables – four innings, five days, twenty-two specialists, changing weather (sometimes several times in a day), humidity in the air, the condition of the pitch, luck determined by a coin toss, and constantly evolving mental calculations.”

He added, “Although every sport reflects some or the other glimpse of life, Test cricket is like a literary novel - combining many different genres into one. Virat Kohli is the biggest character of this novel over the last decade.”

He further mentioned, “He not only lived the different emotions of the game but also enriched them. A lot has been written about what he gave to the team and India, but he became something rare for test cricket — a sensitive, drama-loving hero who looks good both laughing and crying, winning and losing.”

The post further read, "That's why only those who had a story to tell succeeded in test cricket. A long story that doesn't end even after writing wet, dry, country, foreigner on every pitch. Virat Kohli is the biggest character of this novel in the last decade. They not only lived all the juices of this novel but also made it more enriched. There is a lot written on what they gave to the team and India, but they gave the genre of test cricket what few people could give, a sensitive hero who looks beautiful in both defeat and win."

Anushka shared the post by renowned author Varun Grover on her Instagram stories, along with a white heart emoji. Anushka Sharma had already written a heartfelt letter for Virat earlier in her post.
