Anushka's emotional note on Virat Kohli's retirement

Virat Kohli, the star cricketer from India, has declared that he will be retiring from Test cricket immediately. The cricket player shared a touching Instagram post including a picture of himself in an India Test jersey to make the announcement. Fans and celebrities responded to his news with a plethora of touching remarks.

After scoring 9,230 runs in 123 Test matches, Kohli, now 36, said goodbye to the game's longest format. To mark his Test retirement, Kohli's wife, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, who frequently attends matches with him, wrote a heartfelt letter detailing the sacrifices and tears that led to Virat's prosperous Test career.

Anushka wrote a poignant tribute for her husband on Instagram, focusing more on Kohli, the man behind the cricket player. "They'll talk about the records and the milestones - but I'll remember the tears you never showed, the battles no one saw, and the unwavering love you gave this format of the game. I know how much all this took from you. " Anushka wrote.

“After every Test series, you came back a little wiser, a little humbler - and watching you evolve through it all has been a privilege,” she added. Anushka also mentioned how surprised she was by Kohli's decision to leave Test cricket so early. "Somehow, I always imagined you'd retire from international cricket in whites - But you've always followed your heart, and so I just want to say my love, you've earned every bit of this goodbye," she said in her tribute.

Hours after Virat declared his retirement from Test cricket, Anushka's message was made in the midst of the harsh remarks she was getting on social media. She is being blamed by many for "influencing Virat" on Reddit, Twitter, and other sites.

After winning the World Cup, Virat Kohli retired from Twenty20 cricket last year, but he is anticipated to play in the one-day format, much like Test captain Rohit, who declared his retirement from red-ball cricket last week.
