The Asia Cup is a fantastic opportunity for both up-and-coming players and seasoned pros of the Asian region to showcase their skills on a large platform as cricket continues to expand. Fans can anticipate exciting performances, thrilling finishes, and unforgettable moments because the event will be in T20 format.
The Men in Blue are prepared to take on another significant task in the form of the Asia Cup 2025, which begins on September 9 in the United Arab Emirates, following two straight ICC trophy victories and an outstanding performance in Test matches in England.
In order to ensure the competition runs well, the event, which was originally planned to take place in India, will now take place in the United Arab Emirates and Dubai, according to ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi. Instead of using the ODI format from the previous tournament edition, the T20 format will be used for this one.
The competition will start on September 9 and end on September 28 with the final. Two groups of four teams apiece will make up the format. Each group's top two teams advance to the Super Four round, where the top two teams compete in the championship game.
Eight teams—two more than in the previous edition—will compete in a total of 19 matches at this Asia Cup. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan have been assigned to one group, while India and Pakistan have been drawn into the same group. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) will host the competition in two locations: Abu Dhabi and Dubai.
