India not only easily defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in match No. 6 of the ongoing Asia Cup 2025 on Sunday in Dubai, but they also used the occasion to make a strong statement. The victory was dedicated to the Indian Armed Forces and the victims of the Pahalgam terror attack by Captain Suryakumar Yadav.

With seven wickets remaining and 25 balls remaining, India chased the target down to 128 thanks to an unbroken 47-run knock off 37 balls from the right-handed hitter, who turned 35 on Sunday. When Suryakumar and Shivam Dube returned to the dressing room after the game, there were no handshakes between the players from the two teams.

Suryakumar Yadav Gets Candid:

26 civilians were killed in a terror assault in Pahalgam earlier this year in April, which rocked the country. India responded by launching Operation Sindoor in May, which targeted cross-border terror facilities. After a ceasefire, tensions between India and Pakistan finally decreased as a result of the military action. The Indian squad returned to the dressing room after the game and declined to shake hands with the opposing team. Salman Agha, the captain of Pakistan, was unable to attend the post-match interview as a result of the event. Suryakumar, meanwhile, dedicated the victory to the Indian troops and the attack victims.

Suryakumar said, I think it's a perfect occasion and taking the time out, we stand by with the victims of the families of the Pahalgam terror attack, and we express our solidarity and also the most important thing for me, we want to dedicate today's win to all our armed forces who showed a lot of bravery. I hope they continue to inspire us all, and we give them more reasons on the ground whenever we get an opportunity to make them smile."

There was a lot of chatter on social media before the match against Pakistan as Indian supporters voiced their disapproval of the BCCI for playing against Pakistan in spite of the country's attitude. Regarding the match against Pakistan, Varun Chakaravarthy, Axar Patel, and Kuldeep Yadav took six wickets between them, limiting Pakistan to 127/9 in the 20 overs. With 31 runs off 13 balls, Abhishek Sharma then gave India a strong start. Shivam Dube and Suryakumar ultimately completed the task for India, going undefeated with scores of 10 and 47, respectively.
