Following the injury withdrawals of former players Ryan Klein and Fred Klaassen and Saqib Zulfiqar, the Netherlands selected a new trio for the Bangladesh T20I series. This will be the Netherlands' first time travelling to Bangladesh for a full bilateral series; they had only played five Twenty20 matches against the country.

The series serves as training for the men in orange in subcontinental conditions ahead of the T20 World Cup next year. However, Bangladesh would be looking at this series as a chance to decide their Asia Cup playing eleven. The dates of the three Twenty20 matches are August 30, September 1, and September 3.

BAN vs NED 2025 Insider Updates:

Captain Scott Edwards wished de Lange a long career and expressed excitement about what the left-handed hitter will bring to the team. Sikander Zulfiqar and Sebastiaan Braat have also been called up to the Netherlands team. In 2021 and 2019, respectively, the two played their final Twenty20 Internationals. Edwards appeared to be happy that the two were back on the international scene and was looking forward to their contributions in the upcoming games.

The Netherlands will be playing a bilateral series in Bangladesh for the first time. So far, they have only faced the Bangla Tigers in five Twenty20 Internationals. Before the series begins on August 30, they will spend three days training in Sylhet. Sikander Zulfiqar was brought back into the team when Saqib Zulfiqar pulled out of the Bangladesh T20S roster for personal reasons. He hasn't played in the T20Is since 2019, which has been a long time ago.
