The 2025 Caribbean Premier League handed fans its usual mix of brutal power hitting and smart, tournament-long consistency. This year, the batting charts reflect both: a mix of anchors who batted through innings and finishers who won matches with fast, decisive cameos. Below are the top five run-getters of the season who scored plenty of runs throughout the tournament and contributed to their team’s success.

1. Shai Hope - 491 runs (Guyana Amazon Warriors)

Hope finished the season well clear at the top with 491 runs to his name. He played the role of an anchor, often coming in early, rotating strike, and then accelerating when the platform had been laid. That combination produced a high average of 49 and a strike rate of 127. This is the balance you want in the T20s when your team needs both innings-building and late power.

Beyond the raw total, Hope’s value was in the regular contributions he made with the gloves on as well. His volume of runs and reliability are the primary reasons he scored the most runs this year and remains the best batter of the season.

2. Nicholas Pooran - 426 runs (Trinbago Knight Riders)

Pooran’s 426 runs came in his usual aggressive style, but with more control than the one-over slog you sometimes see from finishers. He mixed rotating the strike with explosive bursts, ending the season with several contributions that changed games quickly. Pooran’s strike rate sat comfortably in the 130s, and his habit of turning middling positions into winning chases made him invaluable to Trinbago’s top order.

His total ranks him a clear second and underscores how a modern T20 batter must combine power with timing. He was as brilliant a leader as he was a batter, leading his team to a record fourth title this year.

3. Colin Munro - 416 runs (Trinbago Knight Riders)

Munro’s 416 runs came almost entirely from the front foot. He gave Trinbago explosive starts with big boundaries early, then controlled aggression to keep bowlers on the back foot. His strike rate was among the highest of the top five, and he also produced one century this season, a reminder that Munro can do the quick-fire fifty and the innings that decimates a bowling attack.

His aggressive and important knocks kept bailing his team out of difficult situations. He played a vital part in the run of the Trinbago Knight Riders' successful campaign.
