On Friday, January 23, India (IND) will host New Zealand (NZ) in the second Twenty20 International of the five-match series at the storied Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. India defeated New Zealand by a clinical 48 runs in the series opener at Nagpur to advance to the second Twenty20 International. Abhishek Sharma's outstanding effort helped the Men in Blue, who were asked to bat first, record 238/7, their best T20I total against New Zealand. After losing two early wickets, the left-hander put India out of trouble by smashing 84 off just 35 balls. Before Rinku Singh's undefeated 44 off 20 balls provided a solid finish, Suryakumar Yadav and Hardik Pandya also contributed.
Jacob Duffy was outstanding with the ball, and Glenn Phillips batted impressively for his 78 off 40 for New Zealand. However, the Black Caps were never going to be able to match India's enormous total of 237, and they were unable to do so. Suryakumar Yadav played a solid hand and appeared to be in good shape. From India's point of view, that was encouraging. These two teams will now face off for the second time. On Friday, January 23, at 7 PM IST, the second Twenty20 International will be broadcast live from the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur.

Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium Pitch Report:
Raipur's wicket is thought to be batting-friendly. There has only been one Twenty20 International played here thus far. Except for some early swing or movement, the wicket offers little assistance to the bowlers. At this wicket, fast bowlers can alter the tempo and make it more difficult for the hitters. However, batsmen will have fun on this pristine wicket.
Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium Weather Forecast:
Raipur's Friday night weather is expected to be somewhat humid. It is predicted to be between 26 and 28°C, with a moderate wind speed of 8 to 10 kmph and a humidity index above 50%.
