Cricket South Africa names ODI & T20I squads for India tour

On Friday, November 21, Cricket South Africa announced the ODI and T20I squads for their forthcoming limited-overs series against India. Temba Bavuma will lead the ODI squad, and Aiden Markram has been named as the T20I captain. 

While the three-match ODI series will begin on Sunday, November 30, the five-match T20I series will start on Tuesday, December 9. The first ODI will be played in Ranchi, then the action shifts to the second and third ODIs in Raipur and Visakhapatnam, respectively.

Speaking about the ODI squad, Dewald Brevis and Keshav Maharaj return while Lhuan-dre Pretorius and Donovan Ferreira have been excluded. On the other hand, Rubin Hermann, who was part of the ODI series against Pakistan, continues to be a part of the squad.

Delving into the details of the T20I squad, star pacer Anrich Nortje has been back in the squad after his last outing in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 final against India. Furthermore, David Miller and Kwena Maphaka have also been recalled to the T20I squad.

It’s important to note that the T20I series will begin in Cuttack. The second and third T20Is will be played in New Chandigarh and Dharamsala, respectively. The fourth and fifth T20Is will be played in Lucknow and Ahmedabad, respectively.
