Daryl Mitchell achieves career-best No.3 rank in ODI Rankings; Rohit still on top

New Zealand star Daryl Mitchell jumps two spots to a career-high 3rd in the latest ICC Men's ODI Batting Rankings, moving ahead of Shubman Gill. India's veteran opener Rohit Sharma holds firm at the world No. 1 position with 781 points.

In the newly announced ICC ODI Rankings, the New Zealand middle-order batter Daryl Mitchell has achieved a career-best third rank in after helping his team to a 3-0 ODI series win over England at home.

Notably, Mitchell scored a 56-run unbeaten knock in the second ODI in Hamilton, while he hit 44 runs in the third and final ODI in Wellington. Meanwhile, Rachin Ravindra also achieved a career-best 14th rank after his knocks of 44 and 56 in the last two ODIs.

South African keeper-batter Quinton de Kock surged to the 19th rank with a 63-run knock in the first ODI against Pakistan. Meanwhile, Fakhar Zaman moved one slot up to the 26th rank, while Salman Agha has achieved a career-best 30th position.

Delving into the details of the ODI rankings, England pacer Jofra Archer moved up two places to a career-best third position, while Pakistan’s Naseem Shah rocketed 10 spots up to the 33rd rank. Also, New Zealand in-form pacer Jacob Duffy ascended 25 spots to the 39th rank. 

Shifting our focus to the ICC T20I batting rankings, Shai Hope has reached a career-best 12th position. Rahmanullah Gurbaz moved up three places to the 15th rank and Ibrahim Zadran surged six places to the 20th rank, while Babar Azam surged 10 places to the 35th rank and Saim Ayub moved 10 places up to the 39th rank.

Moving into the details of the ICC T20I bowling rankings, Pakistan star pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi surged three places to the 13th rank, Afghanistan in-form spinner Mujeeb Ur Rahman ascended 13 slots to the 14th rank, West Indies ace all-rounder Jason Holder moved up nine places to the 23rd rank, and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza rocketed 32 places to the 33rd rank.
