India D won the current Duleep Trophy 2024 final round by a margin of 257 runs against India B. The team captained by Shreyas Iyer dropped the opening two games of the campaign, but they proved they could win the championship game. The batting order was also altered by the team management, which was advantageous to them and greatly contributed to their victory in Anantapur.

When asked to open in the first innings, Devdutt Padikkal and Srikar Bharat combined for 105 runs, providing the team with a boost. At number three, Ricky Bhui also scored fifty runs, along with both of the openers. Sanju Samson, the team's keeper-batter, later contributed a noteworthy 106 runs to the team's 349 runs in the first inning.

Duleep Trophy 2024 Match 5 highlights:

India B laboured mightily in response. Washington Sundar made 87 runs, but seven of its batters scored in single digits, which put them well behind the times. Captain Abhimanyu Easwaran scored a century once more. The second-inning total for India D was limited to 282 runs thanks to a five-for from Saurabh Kumar.

In the second innings, India D increased their lead even further. While captain Shreyas got a half-century, Bhui amassed an undefeated 119 runs. They set a 373-run target, which India B was unable to meet. On the last day of the game, India D's job was made simpler because they lacked character during the batting.

Arshdeep Singh, the master pacer, dominated with the ball, taking six wickets, and Aditya Thakare took four. Together, they decimated India B's batting lineup, handily winning the match for the D team. Notably, India B's chances of winning the trophy were dashed when they were bowled out for just 115 runs. On the points table, they came in second place.
