Rain forced an early halt to play on the third day of the first Test match between England and India at Headingley, leaving the game in a delicate balance. Harry Brook and Ollie Pope were at the crease as England started their innings again. In the first over of the day, Prasidh Krishna, who opened the bowling, let up 11 runs.

At the Headingley Stadium on Sunday, Team India ended Day 3 of the first Test match against England with a 96-run advantage. Despite Harry Brook's 99-run effort earlier in the day, Jasprit Bumrah claimed his 12th career five-wicket haul to restrict England to 465, six runs short of India's first innings total of 471.
