Will Jasprit Bumrah miss India's attempt to win the fifth and final match, which will take place at The Oval starting on July 31, as he has already played three Test matches on their current England trip, as was originally planned? Gautam Gambhir, the head coach of India, calmed concerns about the fitness of his fast bowlers by saying there were no injury issues, but he would not confirm if Bumrah would play in the fifth Test.
According to him, it has not yet been decided if Jasprit Bumrah will participate in the last test match. Talking to the media, Gambhir said, "There has been no discussion about anyone and no decision has been made whether Jasprit Bumrah will play in the last test match or not. Ultimately, whoever plays, whether they play or not, they will try and do the job for the country."
Coach Gautam Gambhir Gets Candid:
After playing catch-up for the majority of the match, India's batting display on Sunday ensured that the fourth Test in Manchester ended in a tie. In the last session of the match, India reached 425/4 thanks to centuries from captain Shubman Gill and the all-rounders Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar. The two teams then shook hands to agree to a draw.
Gautam Gambhir acknowledged India's 2-1 series deficit and underlined his emphasis on results. He believes the team is the best Indian team right now, despite their lack of experience, and wants to tie the series at two. He added, "You're asking someone who only believes in results. And I've always said that in the past as well. I believe in results. We're still 2-1 down in the series. This is an Indian team. Yes, there is an inexperience, but this is still the best Indian team right now. So, for me, I think we're still down 2-1, and hopefully we can try and make it 2-2. It would be a great achievement."
