The Indian head coach, Gautam Gambhir, could be seen requesting his players to exchange handshakes with the umpires after India’s dominant six-wicket win over Pakistan, on Sunday, September 21, in Dubai.

Interestingly, Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya finished off the game for Team India and they walked off the field without shaking hands with the opposition players. However, Gambhir came up with an interesting twist in the tale.

In a viral video doing the rounds on the internet, the head coach could be seen requesting the Indian players to walk out and exchange handshakes with the umpires. Soon, the Indian players walked out and greeted the umpires, which didn’t go down well with the Pakistani players.

Also, Gambhir took to his Instagram handle to share a few stories of Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, and the rest of the Indian team, with the caption to the stories, "Fearless."

Delving into the details of the Super Four clash between India and Pakistan, the former won the toss and forced Pakistan to bat first. Eventually, the opposition could post 171/5 in 20 overs.

In reply, Abhishek Sharma (74) and Shubman Gill (47) stitched a 105-run opening stand to turn the tables towards India quite comprehensively. Eventually, Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya finished off the proceedings with seven balls to spare.

In the post-match presentation ceremony, Indian captain was all praises for the Indian opening batters Abhishek Sharma and Shubman Gill for turning out to be a fire and ice combination in the shortest format of the game.

“The way the boys are stepping up in every game, it's making my job very easy. The boys showed a lot of character. They complement each other really well (Abhishek and Gill). It's like a fire and ice combination,” Suryakumar Yadav said in the post-match presentation ceremony.
