Former Australian pacer and analyst Glenn McGrath has backed the Indian pacer Prasidh Krishan to come out well in the forthcoming three-match Australian ODI series starting on Sunday, October 19, in Perth.

Speaking on the Fast Bowling Cartel YouTube channel, McGrath has made it clear that the Indian seamer needs to work on getting his length right, and he reckoned that he would do really well on the Australian surfaces.

"Prasidh Krishna, who I've done a bit of work with over in India, coaching over there a while back now. I think he's really come to age, the way he bowled in the IPL recently was brilliant. He's quite an enforcer. He just needs to get that length right, and I think he'll do really well," McGrath said on the Fast Bowling Cartel YouTube channel.

Krishna, who was earlier part of the last Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 campaign, managed to play only one Test in Sydney, where he picked up six wickets across two innings. McGrath asserted that Prasidh should’ve got more chances Down Under.

"We saw him in the last Test series (in Australia), I felt they should've played him a bit more," McGrath added.

Notably, Krishna ended the IPL 2025 season as the most successful bowler, scalping 25 wickets from 15 innings at an average of 19.52 and an economy of 8.27, winning the purple cap. However, he wasn’t selected for the recently concluded Asa Cup 2025 campaign, and he is not part of the upcoming five-match T20I series vs Australia.
