Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal has urged fans not to indulge in 'matters which may or may not be true'. This has come out days after the rumours of a potential divorce between the leg-spinner and his wife choreographer Dhanashree Verma. Social media has been very opinionated about the potential divorce rumours.
However, Chahal has requested his fans some privacy and has shed light on the values that he has followed.
Here's what the social media post read:
"I am grateful to all my fans for their unwavering love and support without which, I wouldn’t have come this far. But this journey is far from OVER!!! As there are still many incredible OVERS left to deliver for my country, my team, and for my fans!!! While I am proud to be a sportsman, I am also a Son, a Brother, and a Friend. I understand the curiosity surrounding recent events, particularly about my personal life. However, I have noticed certain social media posts speculating on matters that may or may not be true."
"As a Son, a Brother and a Friend, I humbly request everyone not to indulge in these speculations, as they have caused immense pain to me and my family. My family values have taught me to always wish well for all, strive to achieve success through dedication and hard work, instead of taking shortcuts, and I remain committed to these values," he further added.
Dhanashree had also taken to Instagram to express her emotions
Chahal's wife Dhanashree Verma had also recently hit back at faceless trolls who had been defaming her over the potential divorce rumours with Yuzvendra Chahal.
She had posted on social media a day before Chahal on how her family had been affected by allegations from the faceless trolls. The divorce rumours between the duo gained momentum after Chahal removed all the posts involving Dhanashree from his Instagram. The duo have also unfollowed each other on Instagram.
