India and Sri Lanka will co-host the ICC T20 World Cup 2026 competition, which gets underway on February 7. The ICC announced the stellar lineup of commentators for the 20-over competition prior to the competition.
Celebrity voices, former cricket players, and current cricket players make up the commentary team. There will be 40 commentators for the main event.
The panel will be led by renowned pundits including as Ian Smith, Ian Bishop, Nasser Hussain, and Ravi Shastri. The commentary box will feature former T20 World Cup winners Aaron Finch, Dinesh Karthik, Kumar Sangakkara, Samuel Badree, Robin Uthappa, and Carlos Brathwaite.
South Africa’s World Test Championship (WTC) winning captain Temba Bavuma will also be in the commentary box, along with Sri Lanka’s Angelo Mathews.
“Current player and reigning ICC World Test Championship-winning captain Temba Bavuma will be heard on commentary, while 2014 T20 World Cup winner Angelo Mathews is also included in an impressive list of commentators that will be utilized across the 55 matches at the tournament,” the ICC informed in their official press release.
“ICC.TV’s broadcast will feature a pre-match show, innings interval program, post-match wrap-up, and daily highlights shows that will capture all the excitement across the tournament all the way through to the knockout stages and final on March 8,” ICC further stated.
India will continue to be the focal point of coverage for the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026, which will have one of the most extensive broadcasts ever thanks to JioStar.
Star Sports will broadcast every game, and JioHotstar will manage digital streaming. It will provide coverage in several Indian languages, vertical live feeds for mobile users, and immersive viewing choices like multi-cam views and 360-degree view.
For important India matches, the semifinals, and the championship game, JioHotstar will also offer Indian Sign Language coverage in addition to additional regional language feeds.
