Explosive Pakistan batter Fakhar Zaman believes Pakistan will miss playing in India. The ICC proposed a hybrid model for the Champions Trophy where India will be playing all their games in Dubai.

Meanwhile, Pakistan will also not play their games in India in the 2026 T20 World Cup and their encounter against India then will be played in Sri Lanka.

Zaman expressed his emotions on having played in India during the 2023 World Cup and the warm hospitality that they received from the Indians when they played their matches in Hyderabad.

“Yes, we will definitely miss (playing in India). We enjoyed a lot during our visit there for the ODI World Cup 2023. We were delighted with the kind of support and the hospitality we got there. The locals gave us a warm welcome when we went to Hyderabad for the first time, they all showered their love on us. Yes, we will miss it all. If India had come to Pakistan, we would have given them an even grander welcome and hospitality but they are not coming. It’s fine, but we’re excited to play against them in Dubai," Zaman told Sports Tak.

I will play for Pakistan again: Fakhar Zaman

Fakhar Zaman was dropped from Pakistan's squad for the second Test against England when he made a tweet in support of Babar Azam. He was also not picked in the 15-man Pakistan squad for the Champions Trophy.

However, with Saim Ayub out injured, Fakhar Zaman could get a look into the Pakistan squad for the Champions Trophy. He is currently plying his trade for the Desert Vipers in ILT20 2025.

“Actually, many people do not know about that, but after the T20 World Cup I got sick and because of the medical condition I was not fit, so I was not a part of the team. But now I [have] recovered 100%, and you will see me in the next white-ball series which Pakistan play,” the 34-year-old said on the Vipers Voice podcast.
