Imad Wasim announces divorce from wife Sannia after six years of marriage

The 37-year-old former Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim took to his social media platforms to confirm his separation from his wife, Sannia Ashfaq. Notably, Imad Wasim was married to his British-origin wife for six years before they decided on a mutual divorce.

Taking to his official social media handles, Wasim has revealed that due to unresolvable conflicts, he, as well as Sannia, has decided to part ways with each other. Moreover, Imad has requested complete privacy from fans and followers in his official statement.

For the unversed, Imad Wasim and Sannia met each other way back in 2018 when the cricketer visited the United Kingdom for an England tour. The couple met on the streets of London, where sparks flew, and they decided to get married after dating for a month in August 2019.

After the marriage, they threw a grand reception party graced by many former, current cricketers and popular celebrities. It’s important to note that the couple has three children. Imad stressed that he remains their father and will continue to care for them “fully and responsibly”.

“After much thought, and due to repeated conflicts that could not be resolved over the past few years, I have filed for divorce. I sincerely request everyone to respect our privacy and avoid using or sharing any old couple photos. Please also refrain from referring to her as my spouse going forward,” Wasim wrote in his statement. 

“I request everyone not to engage in or believe any misleading narratives. Any attempt to defame or involve others in this personal matter will be addressed through the proper legal channels if necessary. Regarding the children, I remain their father and will continue to care for them fully and responsibly. Thank you for your understanding and respect,” he added.
