After chaos broke out among fans during the ticket sales for the second ODI of the three-match series between India and England, some police officers were sent to the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. As cricket fans scrambled to get seats for the second ODI between India and England, chaos broke out at Cuttack's Barabati Stadium in Odisha, causing scenes akin to stampedes. While some individuals were discovered asleep, others found it difficult to stay upright amidst the congested ticket kiosks.

The crowd that had gathered outside the venue was seen crammed together with a group of police officers who had come to the area to keep an eye on the disorderly situation in a video that has been doing the rounds. Additionally, a hose was used to alleviate the problem for nearby residents. Interestingly, the game is slated for Sunday, February 9.

IND vs ENG 2nd ODI Crowd Chaos:

Widespread chaos resulted from inadequate crowd control, and angry residents blamed the administration for inadequate amenities and bad planning. The lack of basic facilities like drinking water and appropriate escape routes, which exacerbated the situation as emotions increased, were criticized by irate spectators.

In an attempt to get tickets, thousands of cricket fans started congregating outside the stadium on Tuesday night. By early Wednesday morning, long lines had developed, and some cricket fans had even spent the night outside to make sure they wouldn't miss the opportunity to watch their favourite players, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, in action.

In terms of their record at the Barabati Stadium, India has won 13 of their 17 games there. India hasn't played an ODI there in a very long time. On December 22, 2019, the hosts, inspired by star Indian batsman Virat Kohli, defeated the West Indies by a score of four wickets. In the 50-over format, their top and lowest scores at the ground are 381 and 178, respectively.

Kohli and Rohit will play at Barabati Stadium for the first time in five years in this match. In 2019, during an ODI match against the West Indies, they made their final appearance at Cuttack, and Kohli won Player of the Match for India.
