On Sunday, November 2, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced a whopping INR 51 Crore prize money for the Indian Women’s team that won the ICC Women’s World Cup 2025 title in Navi Mumbai.

Also, the International Cricket Council (ICC) had announced earlier in September 2025 that the winner of the ICC ODI Women’s World Cup 2025 will receive a hefty prize money of USD 4.48 Million (Approx INR 40 Crore). In total, the Indian women’s team is set to receive a whopping INR 91 Crore (51 Crore from BCCI, 40 Crore from ICC).

Speaking exclusively to ANI, the BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia confirmed the announcement in a statement. He also asserted that this cash reward is an addition to what the ICC has already rewarded.

For the unversed, this was the third time the Indian women’s team reached the World Cup final but won the title for the first time. Saikia has also confirmed that the 51 crore prize money will be equally distributed to the players, the selection committee, and the support staff, headed by Amol Muzumdar.

"BCCI is elated and without touching anything from the ICC kitty, BCCI on its own is going to pay, as a reward, of INR 51 crores to the Indian team. That amount will go to the players, selectors, as well as the support staff headed by Amol Muzumdar," Saikia said.

Talking about the grand finale, India Women posted a daunting total of 298/7 in 50 overs after losing the toss. In the chase, South African women could score only 246 runs in 45.3 overs, losing the game by 52 runs.

While Shafali Verma was adjudged the player of the match for her 87-run knock and two important wickets with the ball, the veteran all-rounder Deepti Sharma was awarded the player of the tournament for 215 runs and 22 wickets.
