IPL 2025: 3 GT players to watch out for in the playoffs

The Gujarat Titans have easily been one of the best teams this season, making them one of the toughest teams to beat. They have been consistent with the bat as well as the ball, and would be an important team in the playoffs. With Buttler gone, let’s take a look at three players who might step up for the team.

Sai Sudharsan

The best batter of the tournament so far, Sai Sudharsan, will surely have a lot of eyes on him in the playoffs. He has accumulated the most number of runs so far, with 679 runs under his belt. With an average of 52.23, he has already slammed five half-centuries and one century in the 14 games he played.

Along with the Orange Cap on his head, he is also in the race for the most valuable player of the season. This highlights his importance in the league, and especially in his team. He has been one of the core reasons for success so far and would surely be someone to watch out for.

Shubhman Gill

Leading from the front has not really been everyone’s cup of tea, but Shubhman Gill has been able to do so as if it were a cakewalk for him. He has been the leader every team aspires for, as he has also been one of the most important players in the team.

Playing all 14 games, he has smashed 649 runs at a strike rate of 156.38 and an average of 54. He, too, has found himself on the list for the most valuable players of the season, marking his importance in the team. It would be interesting to watch him in the playoffs.

Prasidh Krishna

Prasidh Krishna has easily been one of the best bowlers of the season so far. For the majority of the season, he held onto the Purple Cap on his head. However, in the last couple of games, his effectiveness has reduced, due to which he has slipped to second place in the race.

He has taken away 23 wickets with an average of 18.91 and an economy of 7.90 in 14 matches. He has been effective wherever he was given to bowl, irrespective of the match situation. The team relies on him quite a lot and would surely hold great importance in the playoffs.
