1. Akash Deep

The former RCB pacer Akash Deep, who came in with a lot of expectations, failed to create an impact for the Lucknow Super Giants after being picked at the whopping price of INR 8 Crore at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction.

Prior to this season, Akash scalped only seven wickets from eight games for the Bengaluru franchise. His performance continued to dip in the IPL 2025 season as he managed to scalp only three wickets from six innings, which turned out to be a nightmare for the LSG campaign.

2. David Miller

The former Gujarat Titans finisher, David Miller, was roped in by the Lucknow Super Giants at the IPL 2025 Mega Auction for the whopping price of INR 7.5 Crore. While he had three decent seasons for the Titans, he struggled to create an impact this season for LSG.

Though there were a lot of expectations on him, Miller could score only 153 runs from 11 innings at an average of 30.60 and a strike rate of 127.49. His best score of an unbeaten 27 highlights his struggles in IPL 2025.

3. Rishabh Pant

The Lucknow Super Giants captain Rishabh Pant, who was bought by the franchise for the whopping price of INR 27 Crore, couldn’t make it big, both as a captain and as a batter. Notably, he is the most expensive player in IPL history.

Speaking about his numbers this season, Pant could score only 269 runs from 13 innings at an average of 24.45 and a strike rate of 133.16 with one fifty and a century. Interestingly, his century against RCB improved his overall figures, but the damage was done by then for the franchise.
