IPL 2025: Best XI of Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB)

The Royal Challengers Bengaluru finally lifted the trophy after a wait of 18 long years in the Indian Premier League. They have had several great players in the team, but were never able to cross the finishing line, unlike this time. Let’s take a look at what their best XI was in the IPL 2025.

Openers: Phil Salt & Virat Kohli

Bengaluru had a fantastic pair of openers this season, where Salt provided explosive starts while Kohli provided the stability the team needed. Together, they amassed over 1060 runs and gave the team great starts on most occasions.

Middle Order: Devdutt Padikkal, Rajat Patidar & Jitesh Sharma

Padikkal was brilliant for RCB at three, scoring 247 runs at 150.60 before getting injured. Patidar was the successful leader of the pack and garnered 312 runs with a strike rate of 143.77, while Jitesh kept the wickets for the team and also was the stand-in captain when Patidar was injured. He also smashed 261 runs and was a great finisher for the team.

Finishers: Tim David & Romario Shepherd

The combination of Tim David & Romario Shepherd was simply brilliant for the team. They had the strike rate of 185.14 and 291.66, respectively, which any team would dream of having. Romario also bowled in a few matches where he picked up six wickets, providing balance to the team.

Spinner: Krunal Pandya

The lone spinner in the playing XI, Krunal Pandya, had an amazing season, especially with the ball. Bowling in 15 games, he picked up over 17 wickets with just an economy of 8.23 and provided great control to the team. He can also bat lower down the order.

Pacers: Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Josh Hazlewood & Yash Dayal

The pace battery of Bengaluru was one to be wary of. Together, they had picked up a heavy total of 52 wickets, dismantling the opposition batting line-ups. When either of them would be having a bad day, the other two would cover up, and that’s probably the reason behind their success this season.
