Rain kept playing peek-a-boo with this game of Mumbai and Gujarat. Horrendous display of batting by the Mumbai batters against disciplined bowling of Gujarat made them stop at a below-par total of 156. Credit to Mumbai bowlers who still made a game out of it while everybody kept checking DLS scores. In the end, the game was won by Gujarat on the last ball by three wickets.
It was a game Hardik will be wanting to forget as quickly as possible. Earlier, he failed with the bat, then he bowled the most expensive over of Mumbai, probably the one which shifted the tide towards Gujarat and then the absolute blunder on the last game where he could not throw the ball to Surya to complete an easy run-out. In the coming few days, rain has been predicted at almost all locations, and so the teams will be moving ahead, keeping that in mind.
