The Punjab Kings were finally against the Delhi Capitals at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamsala, and Punjab, having won the toss, chose to bat first. Their openers, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh, have been one of the most consistent and dangerous openers. The opening stand lasted 122 runs. However, the match had to be abandoned there, citing technical and safety concerns.
Amid the war-like situations going on between India and Pakistan, the places near the borders have been on high alert, and such a place was Dharamsala as well. The match had to be called off midway due to attacks having been reported nearby. While the match lasted, Punjab was dominating their way with both their openers having scored fifties and at a fantastic strike rate.
