IPL 2025: When is GT’s Next Match?

Gujarat Titans (GT) have officially booked their place in the IPL 2025 playoffs after a dominant 10-wicket win over Delhi Capitals (DC) in their last outing. With that victory, GT now sit comfortably at the top of the points table with 18 points from 12 games and an impressive net run rate of +0.795. GT will now aim to maintain their momentum and secure a top-two finish.

Finishing in the top two is crucial as it offers an extra shot at reaching the final through Qualifier one. Their next challenge will be against the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on 22 May in Ahmedabad. Currently placed seventh with 10 points from 11 matches and a net run rate of -0.469, LSG are still in the playoff race, but every game is now a virtual knockout.

Match details

Fixture: Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants

GT Probable XI

Shubman Gill (capt), Sherfane Rutherford, Jos Buttler (wk), Shahrukh Khan, Rahul Tewatia, Rashid Khan, Kagiso Rabada, Arshad Khan, R Sai Kishore, Mohammed Siraj, Prasidh Krishna.

Sai Sudharsan made a massive impact in the last match against Delhi Capitals, coming in as an Impact Substitute and smashing an unbeaten century during their successful chase of 200 runs. Hence, he is expected to open the innings alongside skipper Shubman Gill.

Jos Buttler is likely to bat at number three. He will be followed by Sherfane Rutherford, who has been a key presence in the middle overs. The middle-order duties will then be handled by Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tewatia, both capable of finishing games strongly.

Rashid Khan will be expected to contribute with both bat and ball, bringing his all-round brilliance to the side. The spin department will also feature Sai Kishore. GT are likely to go with a strong pace attack comprising Kagiso Rabada, Mohammed Siraj, Arshad Khan, and Prasidh Krishna.
