IPL 2025: When is KKR's Next Match?

Kolkata Knight Riders’ (KKR) title defence in IPL 2025 has not gone as planned, with just one win in their first three matches. After a disappointing start against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in Kolkata, they bounced back with a victory against Rajasthan Royals (RR) in Guwahati but suffered another setback against Mumbai Indians (MI) in Mumbai.

With just two points from three games, KKR now find themselves at the bottom of the points table with a net run rate of -1.428. KKR will now look to get back to winning ways when they face Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Kolkata. Playing in front of their passionate home crowd at Eden Gardens, they will aim to put up a much-improved performance.

Opponent and match details

SRH have struggled to meet their fans' expectations, losing two of their three matches so far in IPL 2025. After a promising start with a win against Rajasthan Royals (RR) at home in Hyderabad, they suffered back-to-back defeats against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Hyderabad and Delhi Capitals (DC) in Visakhapatnam.

With just two points from three matches, they currently sit in eighth place on the points table with a net run rate of -0.871. One of the key concerns for SRH has been their inconsistent top order, which has failed to provide solid starts.

Heading into their next match, SRH will need to address these issues and ensure their top-order batters step up to set the tone for the rest of the lineup.

  • Date: Thursday, April 3

  • Time: 7:30 PM IST

  • Venue: Eden Gardens, Kolkata

Probable XI for Kolkata Knight Riders

Head-to-Head record

KKR have historically dominated their rivalry against SRH, winning 18 times while losing only nine. At Eden Gardens, KKR have been even stronger, securing seven victories compared to SRH's three. KKR will aim to extend their dominance while SRH will be eager to claim their second win of the season to stay in contention for the playoffs.
