When is LSG’s Next Match

Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) hopes for a playoff berth faced a huge setback as Punjab Kings (PBKS) defeated them in Dharamsala by 37 runs. After this loss, LSG are now in the seventh spot with 10 points in 11 games, with a net run rate of -0.469.

Hence, a win in every remaining three games can take them to the 16-point mark, and then, depending on other matches’ results, they can get a late entry to the playoffs. So, in the next match, they will be geared up to face the current table toppers, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB), in Lucknow on 9 May. RCB now have 16 points in 11 games with a net run rate of +0.482.

Match details

Fixture: Lucknow Super Giants vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru
Date & Time: May 9, 2025, 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium, Lucknow

LSG Probable XI

Rishabh Pant (capt & wk), Nicholas Pooran, David Miller, Aiden Markram, Ayush Badoni, Abdul Samad, Akash Singh, Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav, Prince Yadav, Digvesh Rathi.

The top three of LSG, consisting of Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, and Nicholas Pooran, failed in their last game. So, fans will hope for them to come good against RCB. Rishabh Pant might look to turn things around with the bat, as it has been a horrible season so far for him as an individual batter.

David Miller is in the middle order, while Ayush Badoni will be expected to score again. He fought along with Abdul Samad in their last game, and that was a bright spot for them from that clash.

Four pacers will be Akash Singh, Avesh Khan, Mayank Yadav, and Prince Yadav. Digvesh Rathi will be the lone spinner, and there will be a high possibility of Ravi Bishnoi coming in as an impact sub to be another spin bowling option. If not Bishnoi, then Marsh can be the impact sub.
