IPL 2025: When is LSG’s Next Match?

Lucknow Super Giants’ (LSG) hopes for a playoff spot in the IPL 2025 got shattered when they suffered a six-wicket loss at the hands of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in their last game in Lucknow. Currently, they are in the seventh spot with 10 points in 12 games, with a net run rate of -0.506.

With two more matches to go in this season, LSG will look to end the season on a high with two wins. Their next clash is against the Gujarat Titans (GT), who are the current table toppers with 18 points in 12 games, with a net run rate of +0.795.

This match is scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad on 22 May. For GT, they will aim to finish within the top two spots in the points table with two more matches remaining in the league stage.

Match details

Fixture: Gujarat Titans vs Lucknow Super Giants
Date & Time: May 22, 2025, 7:30 PM IST
Venue: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

LSG Probable XI

Aiden Markram, Mitchell Marsh, Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant (capt, wk), Ayush Badoni, Abdul Samad, Akash Deep, Ravi Bishnoi, Digvesh Rathi, Avesh Khan, Will O'Rourke.

Both Aiden Markram and Mitchell Marsh were excellent in their last game against SRH. Hence, they will be expected to do the same once again vs GT. Then, Nicholas Pooran at number three will be there, and he also regained some confidence after his contribution in the last game. Captain Rishabh Pant’s off form with the bat continued, which left LSG fans frustrated.

Then, two Indian batters in the middle order will be Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad. Three pacers will be Akash Deep, Avesh Khan, and Will O’Rourke. It will be harsh on O’Rourke if he gets dropped just after his debut game. Both spinners will be Ravi Bishnoi and Digvesh Rathi. Shardul Thakur is most likely to be the impact substitute for LSG.
