IPL 2025: When is PBKS’ Next Match?

Punjab Kings’ (PBKS) last game against Delhi Capitals (DC) was called off in Dharamsala due to a significant technical failure at the HPCA Stadium. As a result, they remain in third position with 15 points from 11 games, with a net run rate of +0.376.

Considering that one point will be awarded from the suspended game, it is expected that with two more wins, PBKS can reach up to 20 points, which should be more than enough to secure a playoff berth.

However, their next match was supposed to take place against the Mumbai Indians (MI) on 11 May in Ahmedabad. However, the IPL officials decided to suspend the season indefinitely due to cross-border tensions with Pakistan.

MI are also in the playoff race, currently sitting in fourth position with 14 points from 12 games and a net run rate of +1.156.

Match details

Fixture: Punjab Kings vs Mumbai Indians
Date & Time: NA (Suspended)
Venue: Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad

PBKS Probable XI

Priyansh Arya, Prabhsimran Singh, Josh Inglis, Shreyas Iyer (capt), Nehal Wadhera, Shashank Singh, Marcus Stoinis, Azmatullah Omarzai, Marco Jansen, Yuzvendra Chahal, Arshdeep Singh.

PBKS are expected to continue with the same playing XI in their next game. Both Priyansh and Prabhsimran were fantastic during their blistering 122-run opening stand in 10.1 overs. Hence, they will be expected to provide another explosive start.

Josh Inglis will continue as the wicket-keeper batter, followed by skipper Shreyas Iyer and Nehal Wadhera. The three overseas all-rounders — Marcus Stoinis, Azmatullah Omarzai, and Marco Jansen — will play key roles.

Shashank Singh has been impressive with his impactful knocks down the order throughout the season and will be expected to deliver again in Ahmedabad. Yuzvendra Chahal will lead the spin attack, with Arshdeep Singh as another pace bowling option. Vijaykumar Vyshak or Harpreet Brar is expected to be the Impact Sub.
