IPL 2025: When is RR’s Next Match? All you need to know about their Opponent, Probable XI, & head-to-head stats

Rajasthan Royals (RR) suffered a humiliating 100-run defeat against Mumbai Indians (MI) in their last game in Jaipur. Their playoff hopes for this season are already over, but what their fans can still hope for is that RR finish the tournament with some strong performances and a few wins.

After 11 matches, RR are currently placed eighth with just six points and a net run rate of -0.780. Their next challenge is against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. It won’t be an easy task, as KKR are still in contention for the playoffs if they manage to win all of their remaining games.

At present, KKR are in seventh place with nine points from 10 games and a net run rate of +0.271. They are expected to come out all guns blazing, and that could spell trouble for RR.

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Nitish Rana, Riyan Parag (capt), Dhruv Jurel (wk), Shimron Hetmyer, Jofra Archer, Maheesh Theekshana, Kumar Kartikeya, Akash Madhwal, Fazalhaq Farooqi.

RR’s season has been a dismal one, but at least they have managed to settle on a consistent playing XI as the tournament has progressed. So, despite the results not going in their favour, they are still expected to go with the same XI from their last game.

Jaiswal and Vaibhav are likely to open the innings, with Nitish Rana expected to bat at number three. Captain Riyan Parag comes in at number four, followed by Dhruv Jurel and Shimron Hetmyer.

The three pacers will be Jofra Archer, Akash Madhwal, and Fazalhaq Farooqi. Maheesh Theekshana and Kumar Kartikeya are also expected to feature in the XI. Shubham Dubey or Tushar Deshpande is most likely to be used as the impact substitute.

KKR and RR have faced each other 30 times so far in the IPL. KKR have won 15 matches, while RR have secured 12 victories. Two matches ended in a tie, and one match had no result. In the reverse fixture earlier this season, KKR defeated RR by eight wickets.
