Rajasthan Royals (RR) suffered another defeat in IPL 2025, losing to the Punjab Kings (PBKS) by 10 runs in their last game. After this loss, they have slipped to the ninth position with just six points from 13 games and a net run rate of -0.701. 

Their final match of the season will be against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in Delhi. CSK have also endured a disappointing campaign and currently sit at the bottom of the table in 10th place with six points from 12 games and a net run rate of -0.992.

Yashasvi Jaiswal, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, Sanju Samson (capt, wk), Riyan Parag, Shimron Hetmyer, Dhruv Jurel, Wanindu Hasaranga, Kwena Maphaka, Tushar Deshpande, Akash Madhwal, Fazalhaq Farooqi.

RR had a fantastic start to their chase in the last game against PBKS, thanks to openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and Vaibhav Suryavanshi. They are expected to provide a similar start again when they face CSK. 

Skipper Sanju Samson returned from an injury layoff in the last match and is likely to bat at number three. Riyan Parag will follow at number four, with Shimron Hetmyer and Dhruv Jurel next in line. Jurel played a brilliant knock in the previous game and will look to carry that momentum forward. 

Wanindu Hasaranga will play as the spin-bowling all-rounder, while the pace attack will include Kwena Maphaka, Tushar Deshpande, Akash Madhwal, and Fazalhaq Farooqi. Shubham Dubey is most likely to be used as the impact substitute.

CSK and RR have faced each other 30 times so far in the IPL. CSK have the edge with 16 wins, while RR have won on 14 occasions. In the reverse fixture earlier this season, RR defeated CSK by six runs. Hence, RR will now look to complete a league double over CSK this time around.
