IPL 2025: When is SRH’s Next Match?

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) spoiled the party for Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their last game by defeating them by six wickets in Lucknow. That loss ensured that LSG are also out of the playoff race.

However, SRH will look to get two more wins in their remaining two games, and their next clash is against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB). SRH are already out of the playoff race, sitting in the eighth position with nine points in 12 games, with a net run rate of -1.005.

But for RCB, the aim will be to win the remaining games to strengthen their chances of finishing within the top two spots in the table. Currently, they are in the second position with 17 points in 12 games, with a net run rate of +0.482.

Match details

Fixture: Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Sunrisers Hyderabad
Date & Time: May 23, 2025, 7:30 PM IST
Venue: M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru

SRH Probable XI

Ishan Kishan (wk), Abhishek Sharma, Nitish Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen, Aniket Verma, Kamindu Mendis, Pat Cummins (capt), Harshal Patel, Harsh Dubey, Zeeshan Ansari, Eshan Malinga.

Abhishek Sharma was the Player of the Match in the last game against LSG, and he is expected to come good once again against RCB. However, Travis Head is expected to make a comeback after missing the last game due to being infected with COVID-19. Hence, Head is most likely to be the impact substitute.

Then, Ishan Kishan should bat at number three, followed by Nitish Reddy and explosive wicketkeeper-batter Heinrich Klaasen. After that, Aniket Verma and Sri Lanka’s Kamindu Mendis should continue.

Three pacers will be Harshal Patel, Eshan Malinga, and skipper Cummins. Two spin-bowling options will be Harsh Dubey and Zeeshan Ansari. It will be harsh if Dubey gets dropped just after one match after making his IPL debut.
