IPL 2026 Auction: Cameron Green blames his manager for registering him as a batter instead of an all-rounder

Cameron Green clarified his IPL 2026 auction listing as a 'Batter' was a manager's mistake, stating, "I'll be good to bowl." The top auction draw dispelled fitness concerns, and his early listing is predicted to maximize his high-value bid.

Aussie in-form all-rounder Cameron Green has revealed that he would be available to bowl in the whole season of the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season after a mistake by his manager.

Shifting our focus to the details, Green blamed his manager for accidentally selecting the wrong box of batter instead of ticking him as the all-rounder, adding that it was actually a ‘stuff-up’ on his manager’s end.

"I'll be good to bowl. I don't know if my manager would like to hear this, but there was a stuff-up on his end. He didn't mean to say 'batter'. I think he accidentally selected the wrong box. It was pretty funny how it's all played out, but it was actually a stuff-up on his end." Green told ESPNCricinfo.

Moreover, Green also stated that he would be watching the mini-auction on the night before the third Ashes 2025-26 Test against England, adding that he is keen to see where his teammates would go.

"I'm sure I will be [watching], with a few other guys. They're always good fun to watch. It's a bit of a lottery where you might go, but also who might be in your team, so it's always been fun to watch,” he concluded.

Notably, Green represented the Mumbai Indians (MI) in 2023 and the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in 2024, but missed the IPL 2025 season while recovering from back surgery. In the IPL 2026 mini-auction, he has been listed with a base price of INR 2 crore.
