Punjab Kings (PBKS), coming off a second-place finish in IPL 2025, took a low-key approach to the IPL 2026 mini-auction on December 16 at the Etihad Arena.
With a small budget of ₹11.50 crore and only four positions to fill after retaining 21 players, the franchise made only four targeted purchases, paying around ₹8 crore and leaving ₹3.50 crore unused. Captain Shreyas Iyer, who was present at the auction table, stressed the team's happiness with its solid core.
Their foreigners were Cooper Connolly and Ben Dwarshuis, and they also signed two uncapped Indian players. Ben Dwarshuis (₹ 4.40 crore), Cooper Connolly (₹ 3 crore), Pravin Dubey (₹ 30 lakh), and Vishal Nishad (₹ 30 lakh)
