English middle-order batter Harry Brook has revealed that the on-field heated moments between Indian fielders and English openers on the third day of the Lord’s Test turned things upside down, as it emerged as the game-changing moment in the ongoing five-match series.

Notably, England will enter the Manchester Test with a lead of 2-1, having won the Lord’s Test narrowly by 22 runs. Nevertheless, Brook stated that the heated moments have kept the visitors under a little bit of pressure in the fourth innings.

“We had a little chat and we thought, we’re a team so we may as well get together and give it back at them. It put them under a little bit more pressure,” Brook said at the pre-match press conference.

“I’ve had a lot of compliments. Everybody said it was awesome to watch. It looked like it was 11 versus two out there while we were fielding. It was good fun… it was tiring but it made fielding a lot more enjoyable,” Brook added.

Furthermore, Brook asserted that the Indian team, led by Shubman Gill, has the capability of bouncing back from any stage, adding that he has received a feedback from many people that it’s a great and entertaining series.

“India are such a good side, they can bounce back at any stage… every game we’ve played so far has gone into the last hour of the game, which you don’t see very often. I’ve had a lot of people come up to me and say, this is a great series… and everybody said that the Lord’s game was one of the best that they have ever watched,” he stated.

India will take on England in the fourth Test of the five-match series, starting on Wednesday, July 23 at Old Trafford in Manchester.
