Jasprit Bumrah and Sam Konstas engage in a heated altercation; Bumrah has the last laugh

Indian captain Jasprit Bumrah and Australian youngster Sam Konstas had a go at each other during the ongoing fifth Test between India and Australia at the Sydney Cricket Ground in Sydney on Friday, January 3. Bumrah wanted to rush his final delivery of the over in with just a minute left on the clock for the close of play on Day 1. 

However, Usman Khawaja stopped him in his tracks a couple of times. Bumrah wasn't happy with that and had something to say to Khawaja. However, Konstas from the non striker's end got into a heated altercation and had a go at Bumrah. 

The duo was seen charging towards each other before the on-field umpire had to intervene and separate them.

Jasprit Bumrah had the last laugh with Khawaja's wicket

The altercation with Sam Konstas fired Jasprit Bumrah up and he bowled a sensational delivery to Usman Khawaja on the last ball of the day. The ball was full enough and trapped Khawaqja on the crease as he could only edge it to KL Rahul in the second slip. Bumrah immediately turned to Konstas at the non-striker's end and gave him a stare. 

The Indian contingent led by Virat Kohli also celebrated in the face of Konstas. It was probably the breakthrough that India desperately needed to close out what had been a disappointing day for them with the bat. 

Opting to bat first, India only got 185 runs on the board. However, Khawaja's wicket will fill them with hope and ensure that they come out all guns blazing on the second morning. Bumrah earlier in the day also contributed a quickfire 22 with the bat.
