Ahead of the Asia Cup 2025 Super 4 dead rubber match against Sri Lanka in Dubai, India's top pacer Jasprit Bumrah was spotted mimicking Ravindra Jadeja's technique by bowling left-arm spin in the nets. Bumrah rolled his arm over in front of batting coach Sitanshu Kotak, then resumed his typical tempo with a shorter run-up.
As India gets ready for the pivotal final matchup with Pakistan on Sunday, September 28, at the Dubai International Stadium, Bumrah might be rested for this match. He has meticulously controlled his workload during the UAE event. Near the end of the group stage, when India had already qualified with back-to-back victories, he was rested during the match against Oman. In an attempt to mimic Ravindra Jadeja's motion, Bumrah tried out left-arm spin during the pre-match practice session against Sri Lanka.

India, meanwhile, has already guaranteed their place in the September 28 final matchup with Pakistan. Jasprit Bumrah has played four games in the competition and has handled his workload well. Despite being rested against Oman, he has taken five wickets at an economy rate of 7.33 and an average of 22 in four innings. He led India to a 41-run victory against Bangladesh with figures of 2/18, his finest performance to date.
Bumrah has looked deadly with the new ball, even though he had a rare off day against Pakistan in the Super 4s. In the meantime, he demonstrated his left-arm spin bowling skills before Friday's match against Sri Lanka. Interestingly, he has turned a spinner in the nets on multiple occasions, so this is not the first time he has done this.
An important plus for India has been the 31-year-old's return to full fitness. His workload is being constantly watched after he missed a significant amount of cricket the previous year because of a back problem. Bumrah's performance will be crucial for India's match against Pakistan in the 2025 Asia Cup final.
