A defamation case of INR 100 crores has been launched against actress Khushi Mukherjee for her remarks on Indian T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav, sparking yet another uproar on social media.

Faizan Ansari, a social media influencer from Mumbai, has filed a ₹100 crore defamation lawsuit against Khushi Mukherjee, claiming that she made detrimental and untrue remarks against Suryakumar Yadav.

Additionally, Ansari has filed a complaint at the Ghazipur police station, requesting that the actress be the subject of a formal report.

Ansari claims that Mukherjee's assertion that Suryakumar "used to message me a lot" was manufactured on purpose to garner attention and might damage a national-level cricket player's reputation.

He has declared that he will pursue the case until justice is done, calling for severe legal action and even demanding a jail sentence.

Ansari told reporters that he will take the matter to every platform available and that he is not frightened of pressure. He went on to say that he is prepared to publicly acknowledge his error if Mukherjee can substantiate her assertions. Until then, he maintains that the remarks should be taken seriously because they constitute character damage.

Khushi Mukherjee says Suryakumar Yadav sent her messages on social media; later clarifies her claims

When Khushi Mukherjee was asked about dating cricket players at an event, she made a comment that sparked the incident.

In response, she said that Suryakumar Yadav used to mail her frequently and that she did not want her name associated with him. She also said that many cricketers were pursuing her.

Fans responded negatively to this remark, which swiftly went viral online and raised concerns about its motivations. Mukherjee herself clarified that her comment was taken out of context once the criticism began to intensify.

She said that she and Suryakumar had never been romantically involved and that any interactions they had were only amicable and had occurred in the past.

Additionally, Mukherjee stated that her Instagram account had been compromised and that false information might have propagated from there. She wished Suryakumar Yadav and Team India the best of luck in the forthcoming World Cup and stated that she is no longer in contact with him.

Suryakumar Yadav has not yet made a statement about the situation, maintaining a dignified silence, despite the commotion. Legally, only Suryakumar himself can bring such a case if he feels defamed, as other internet users have noted.
