Mumbai Indians all-rounder served with legal notice by Pakistan Cricket Board

South African all-rounder Corbin Bosch, who was announced as an injury replacement for Lizaad Williams in the Mumbai Indians squad for IPL 2025 was served with a legal notice from the Pakistan Cricket Board.

According to a report published in Cricbuzz, the Proteas all-rounder breached the contract signed with the PCB by pulling out of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), which is scheduled to start on April 11, at the very last moment.

It’s important to note that during the PSL Draft, held earlier this year, Corbin Bosch was roped in by Peshawar Zalmi. However, his news of pulling out of the campaign raises eyebrows of many in Pakistan.

“The legal notice was served through his agent, and the player has been asked to justify his actions of withdrawing from his professional and contractual commitments," the Pakistan Cricket Board stated in a release on Sunday.

“The PCB management has also outlined the repercussions of his departure from the league and expects his response within the stipulated time frame. The PCB will not make any further comments on the matter."

While the Indian Premier League 2025 is scheduled to start on March 22 and conclude on May 25, PCB is set to host PSL 2025 from April 11 to May 18.

It’s worth noting that Corbin Bosch has played one Test and two ODIs for his national team so far. He was also part of the MI Cape Town set-up in SA20 2025, propelling his side to a title win in the recently concluded season, picking up 11 wickets.

Mumbai Indians squad for IPL 2025:

Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma, Trent Boult, Deepak Chahar, Tilak Varma, Naman Dhir, Will Jacks, Allah Ghazanfar, Mitchell Santner, Ryan Rickelton, Reece Topley, Corbin Bosch, Robin Minz, Karn Sharma, Vignesh Puthur, Bevon Jacobs, Satyanarayana Raju, Raj Bawa, Ashwani Kumar, Arjun Tendulkar, Krishnan Shrijith.
