Currently, the legendary Wankhede Stadium is commemorating its fiftieth anniversary. The magnificent location on the Mumbai coastline made its debut in the Guinness Book of World Records a few days after its 50th-anniversary celebration, listed under the heading "Largest Sentence Written Using Cricket Balls."
At Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium, the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) used 14,505 red and white cricket balls on Thursday to set a new Guinness World Record for the largest cricket ball sentence. The sentence "FIFTY YEARS OF WANKHEDE STADIUM" made sense. The extraordinary effort could be achieved due to the vigilant officials of the venue.

The accomplishment was a part of MCA's lavish celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the Wankhede Stadium, one of India's most famous cricket stadiums and the home of some of the game's biggest stars. Under the renowned MS Dhoni, India won their second 50-over World Cup at this location in 2011. The cricket balls used to make the phrase will be distributed to local clubs, schools, and non-governmental organizations in an effort to motivate the next generation of cricket players.
MCA president Ajinkya Naik said, "We are thrilled to announce that the Mumbai Cricket Association has achieved a Guinness World Record for the largest cricket ball sentence at Wankhede Stadium, using 14,505 red & white cricket balls. This incredible feat, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the first Test match at Wankhede, is dedicated to the memory of Late Shri Eknath Solkar and other former Mumbai players who have served Mumbai cricket and are no longer with us."
The record was suitably made on the day that the first international match at the Wankhede began. A Test match between India and the West Indies took place from January 23 to January 29, 1975. Along with numerous other deceased Mumbai cricket players, the Mumbai Cricket Association dedicated the victory to the late former Indian captain Eknath Solkar, who scored a ton during that match.
