Hassan Eisakhil, 18, made waves in the ongoing Shpageeza Cricket League 2025 after striking a six against his father, the renowned all-rounder Mohammad Nabi of Afghanistan. The father and son were playing for different teams in the eighth game between the Amo Sharks and Mis Ainak Knights in Kabul.

Despite being 40 years old, Afghanistan cricket's longtime stalwart, Mohammad Nabi, is still going strong and has no immediate plans to retire. He has represented more than 40 teams worldwide in more than 400 T20 matches across all competitions. Nabi is still playing domestic cricket, and he is now competing in the Shpageeza Cricket League against up-and-coming Afghan players.

His son Eisakhil opened the batting for Amo Sharks while the seasoned cricketer was playing for Mis Ainak Knights. Two overs later, Hassan reached his half-century after sweeping his father for a massive six over midwicket. Nabi finished with statistics of 0/12 after giving up 12 runs in the same over and being removed from the assault. Eisakhil's 52 runs during the game were the primary factor in his team scoring more than 160 runs. Nabibowled gave up 12 runs in one over. With the bat in hand, his team won easily, and the senior all-rounder remained undefeated at six.

Eisakhil, born on July 28, 2006, has already gained attention with his cricketing brilliance. In 2024, the tall right-handed opening batsman's first heroic moments occurred in a domestic match when he hit a 45-ball 150. He scored a game-winning 52-ball 65 against the Royals while playing for the Chitwan Rhinos in the Nepal Premier League.

Hassan scored centuries in Afghanistan's premier first-class competition in 2025 and kept up his impressive run totals, which included a 143 in the Merwais Nika 3-Day Trophy. He scored 52 off 36 balls in the current Shpageeza League match against his father's team, adding two sixes and five fours to his knock.
