Navjot Singh Sidhu picks his best team of IPL 2025 season

Former Indian cricketer Navjot Singh Sidhu has revealed his best team XI for the IPL 2025 edition. To make things interesting, his XI will be captained by Rohit Sharma. While Rohit didn’t lead MI in IPL 2025, this decision by Sidhu surprised many.

Moving into the details of his XI, MI opener Rohit, who scored 418 runs from 15 innings at an average of 29.85, opens the innings alongside Virat Kohli, who smashed 657 runs from 15 innings at an average of 54.75 with eight fifty-plus scores.

At No.3 and No.4, Jos Buttler and Shreyas Iyer take up the respective responsibilities. While Buttler scored 538 runs from 13 innings at an average of 59.77, Iyer smacked 604 runs from 17 innings at an average of 50.33 with six fifty-plus scores.

Nicholas Pooran, Hardik Pandya, and Krunal Pandya are part of the middle-order. The trio had exceptional contributions for Lucknow Super Giants, Mumbai Indians, and the Royal Challengers Bangalore, respectively. 

Noor Ahmad is the only spinner in the XI. Meanwhile, Prasidh Krishna, Josh Hazlewood, and Jasprit Bumrah are part of the pace battery. Noor concluded the season as the second-leading wicket-taker with 24 wickets from 14 innings.

Moving further, Gujarat Titans pacer Prasidh scalped 25 wickets from 15 games to conclude with the purple cap, Mumbai Indians’ pacer Jasprit Bumrah picked up 18 wickets from 12 innings. 

Meanwhile, the star RCB pacer Hazlewood pocketed 22 wickets from 12 games to end the season as the third-leading wicket-taker. He played a crucial role in RCB lifting the first-ever IPL title in 18 years.
