Yashasvi Jaiswal sledges Sam Konstas

The Border Gavaskar Trophy between Australia and India is known for top-class sledging and heated on-field moments. One such moment took place on the second day of the ongoing Sydney Test.

It was Yashasvi Jaiswal, who targeted the Australian opener Sam Konstas. After creating a heated moment on the dying moments of the opening day of the game, Sam was in the news again on the second day.

Just when Konstas looked a bit rustic after the early dismissal of Marnus Labuschagne, Jaiswal took a chance to sledge the Aussie young batter, asking if he could see the ball perfectly and play good shots.

Jaiswal was caught on the stump mic sledging Sam Konstas, "Kya ho gaya ab, shot nahi dikh kya? Oye Kontas (Konstas). Shot nahi lag raha hai kya abhi?"

What happened so far in the SCG Test?

The Indian stand-in skipper Jasprit Bumrah opted to bat first after winning the toss. Indian batters looked in all sorts of trouble, losing early wickets at 57/3. Though Kohli found a bit of luck, he lost his wicket for 17 runs off 69 balls without hitting a boundary.

Rishabh Pant (40), Ravindra Jadeja (26) and Jasprit Bumrah (22) shone well in the second and third sessions of the opening day to take India to 185 runs in 72.2 overs. India ended Day 1 with Usman Khawaja’s wicket at 9/1.

Australian batters struggled to live up to the expectations on a tough SCG pitch as they lost wickets at regular intervals on the second day. Debutant Beau Webster was the star performer, scoring a well-made fifty to keep his side on top.

At the time of writing this article, Australia failed to take a lead as India bagged a crucial four-run lead at the end of the first innings.
